Great Book!!

I wanted a book that focuses on advanced diesel repair and troubleshooting. I got what I was looking for! As well, when you consider the price associated with some of the other books/textbooks dealing with the same subject matter, this publication is a tremendous value.
The content of this book is similar to what was covered during training I received from several automotive and medium/heavy duty truck OEM's. Nothing is sugar coated. You will need to have a foundation with the mechanical trades, math and basic physics to appreciate and understand what the author is trying to convey.
Bravo--A five star effort by Mr Dempsey on all counts.

I bought this book but i think it is not suitable for the beginer, you would need to have ahigh level of knowledge of your engine to appreciate it in full .

Need for more detail on diesel engine operation

This book provided me the details I needed beyond a general idea of how diesel engines function.
I recently purchased a 2006 Ford 250 PowerStroke 6.0L diesel truck. This book gave me info that will allow me to better maintain and do minor service to the engine.
It does provide more detailed troubleshooting techniques for the more advanced diesel engine mechanic.
