in my opinion

From a French teacher's point of view, I really do enjoy the opinion gap discussion based break I sometimes propose to my students using this book.
I have progressively grown bored (and so have my students) with the traditional information gap based activities which are so common in French course books and methods. I am not saying such activities should disappear (they are useful for beginners and intermediate levels) but with this book as a new tool, I have found that having my students express their own opinions and sometimes deep convictions encourages self-confidence to develop simply because they are so involved with the topic !
Combining this activity with delayed correction from the teacher (I mean only feedback and follow up activities according to the grammatical problems that have come up) I have noticed that my students are willing to talk and talk and talk...

Easy to use

After being in the education world for 20 years I have already shortlisted the texts that work for me. It's a pleasure when I can add to that short list. I have used this book in class and during intensive courses I run from time to time. A hugely practical teaching aid.

I discovered this at the local English Bookshop and was immediately impressed. It contains 50 interesting exercises to be carried out between students in language groups of differing levels. If you are looking for a way to practice vocabulary communicatively and effectively, there are exercises that can be used. I have found it invaluable in my teaching and highly recommend it.
