This is simply excellent source of superb

This is simply excellent source of superb, healthy recipes for all kinds of restrictive diets. I have never recommended a cookbook before but this one is exceptional. I'm not anything more than an adequate cook but am willing to have a go at most things, and I found it easy to produce tasty, healthy food even if it may not have resembled the pictures on the page.
I bought it because I enjoy puddings and desserts but am now on a severely restricted sugar diet. I found a couple of interesting recipes for non-sugar desserts featured in The Daily Telegraph, and finally tracked the source down to this book. Originally published in the UK, it's been available here in the US since the first half of 2015 (I think).

If you like the little mermaid and want a happy ending here you go!

I have always HATED the fact that the Little Mermaid turned into sea foam at the end. This is a brand new twist on a classic. I really enjoyed that the heroin starts out in Seattle (my hometown) so there is some time travel in this and there is a sassy fairy godmother helping her out. I think if you love classic fairy tales this one will pull at your heart strings and make you laugh all in one book. Happy reading!

It needed to be shorter

This is the 5 th once upon a time travel story I've read by this author. This one is the longest of them all too and probably my least favorite. The heroine was a complainer and a cryer and had no backbone. The hero, on the other hand was gentle and although he shouldn't be even trusting. My heart melted at the way he defended her from Matilda. Some of Leah's actions as well had me frustrated and how convenient that that everyone else didn't think to give her something to write with in order to communicate. And how convenient that he seems to understand her gestures yet doesn't when she later bravely tries to warn him! His reaction near the end was expected but of course Leah as usual goes to crying and giving up. One of the few saving graces is Muffin who always has me laughing whenever she pops up. Overall it was an okay read but I was disappointed more than anything since thus far I've really been enjoying the series. Maybe things could have been cut out to make this a shorter and more enjoyable read like the last ones I've read. Still will look out for anymore once upon a time travel stories, I'm addicted to Muffin! Lol

Thought it was the author's first book...

No, really, right after I finished it, I looked it up and was surprised to find that she has other books.
And with that inauspicious beginning, I think you can see where this review is going.

** There may be spoilers after this point! **

I love mermaid tales, and am always looking for a different spin to it. The premise of a fairy god mother giving her charge another chance at life by making her, a modern day woman, live in a fairy tale, in 15th century England no less, tickled my fancy. Looking at the only comment, which was quite positive, I figured I would be in a for an awesome ride.

Nope, negative. I was super disappointed to find a heroine who CRIED her way through the book. For someone whose limbs transformed into a tail when wet, you'd think the heroine would be a little more careful about how much tears spilled on herself. Kidding aside, she was terribly one dimensional.

The hero failed to deliver as well. He was even more one dimensional than the heroine. Not to mention that he was apparently unable to form any sort of dialogue without repeating her name. (Major pet peeve here, btw.)

Story development felt a bit ham fisted. It was like paint by numbers but in literature form; nothing there was a surprise in the end.

So in conclusion, please save your 99 cents. Like the other commenter, I finished the book in one sitting, but that was due to a lot of skimming.

This continues with more vignettes from Lacey's work at The Brothel. The tales get kinkier.

I would like to see the story between the vignettes fleshed out so we get to know Lacey outside of The Brothel. V. Vaugn's writing is solid and clean. She pays attention to detail but there are times when Lacey's telling gets bogged down in repetition of what she is doing, what she feels, and what she says with her clients. Expanding the story outside of Lacey's sexual acts would cut down on the repetition and would have me hungering for the next installment of Lacey's story.

This continues the story of Lacey a college student that earns the money to pay for her house and college courses by being a prostitute in the Red Light District of Amsterdam. Lacey is a fascinating character that is unapologetic for being a woman that loves sex. It makes this a hot read. Like the first book in the series this is a quick book that you can read while waiting for an appointment (if you can keep your cool, that is).

The series continues with the kink factor elevated to keep up interested! The Cara vignette was a little vanilla for me. Girls with toys and no tongue just isn't my style but it's erotica and, as a whole, a strong and exciting read!
